Hair braiding is a mix of art, skill, and love. It requires exceptional patience and it can only be born from the great appreciation of this specific hairstyle. It’s roots are deeply set in tradition and it’s future is in transforming the world of hairstyling.

Nowadays, braids are a protective and creative style women use to show off their personal style, their creativeness and protect their hair and scalp. But centuries before, braids were much more than just a hairstyle.

The cultural significance and roots of braiding can be traced back to the African tribes. Braid patterns or hairstyles indicate a person’s community, age, status, wealth, power, social position, and religion. And in some cases, braids were a form of survival.

My passion for art and history motivated me to start my own business and to create something beautiful in the world. Art has created a drive in me that just keeps me going no matter how low or high I get. To see someone look at themselves and smile gives me the most satisfaction imaginable.

Not only do I get to create beautiful hairstyles , but with every client , I get the chance to change their lives. I get to spend a few hours of my day meeting new people and their everyday lives. I am honored that they let me accentuate their beauty and touch their beautiful crowns.

I’m a self thought braider and some of my best braids have been created with love and passion. Without passion, there is no purpose. I’m always looking for inspiration and trying new styles. I take inspiration from spirituality and my personal life journey and combine it with the street culture.

Also knowing that the possibilities are absolutely endless because there is always room for another trend and style and new techniques to be learned everyday is unbelievably exciting as well. I am simply wrapped in a passion that I have no intent on breaking away from.
